For Immediate Release: Expanding the More Mindful Burger Chicago, IL (November 15, 2011) – Epic Burger, known for its all-natural burgers and socially conscious philosophy, is launching two more restaurants in December, giving them a total of six Chicago locations. The fifth will be located at 227 E. Ontario in the old Post Office building in Streeterville, and the sixth will be located at 40 E. Pearson St. next to Bentley Gold Coast. While both restaurants will feature Epic’s signature soft color palette, Energy Star rated equipment, and non-petroleum-based packaging, some menu and design modifications will be made to better reflect their new, unique communities. The Gold Coast location will offer breakfast selections from 7 a.m. 11 a.m. and will be serving its entire menu plus additional options such as the Epic Egg Sandwich, served with their legendary one-year aged cheeses, assorted pastries, and a full selection of Intellegentsia’s fresh-brewed coffee. Additionally, the Gold Coast location will have mezzanine dining that overlooks Pearson and Wabash Streets for prime people watching. Not to be outdone, the Streeterville location will reveal an outdoor café this spring. Epic’s inaugural location launched in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood in May 2008, and introduced Chicago – and the world – to “a more mindful burger”. Shortly after, the burger experts launched a second location in Lincoln Park in June 2010, a third location in the West Loop in February 2011, and a fourth location in Skokie at Old Orchard Mall in September 2011. “Epic Burger has tripled in size this year alone, with the hopes of doing the same next year,” says owner David Friedman. With an active presence on key social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Yelp, the owners listen intently to customer feedback to better the brand and to assist with important decisions like where to open new locations. “From the beginning, my intention was to raise people’s ‘food IQ’ by increasing awareness about what people eat on a daily basis. With the help of social media we can now speak directly to our customers, and vice versa,” adds Friedman. About Epic Burger Epic Burger’s “mindful menu” features 100% all natural, never frozen, hand-packed beef and turkey burgers, chicken breasts, and portabella mushroom sandwiches, all cooked fresh to order.
